MIND AND LANGUAGE 2025
From 14 to 21 March 2025 the Indological Society «Luigi Pio Tessitori» and the Department of Languages, Communication, Education and Society of the University of Udine organised the first edition of Mind and Language in the Indian and European Thought at the headquarters of the Fondazione Friuli in Udine.
The conference took place over two days. The first day explored the Sanskrit language, the pioneers of Indology, and the emergence of European linguistics. The second day focused on the role of rationality and intuition in Western and Indian philosophical systems. The relationship between intellect and intuition is a topic that belongs to the dimension of interculturality and represents a privileged point of reference in the research carried out within the framework of the project dedicated to Shiyali Ramamrita Ranganathan.
